picky eater

Do you have one that lives at your house?

We do, and after around nine years of having a "food tyrant" in the home, we decided enough is enough.

It is certainly taking time, baby steps, and there are still many things she will not eat, but it is improving month by month. Ah, the sweet smell of progress. I am contemplating embroidering her a napkin with the above quote...but I fear it might just get lost in the wash.

Cathy...thanks for your sweet comment in regards to my mom and her stroke. I remember reading about the loss of your mom.

Strange days ahead with her recovery, and I have no clue. Prayers always appreciated...thank you for that.

Hi there, Cathy! I was so glad to see a comment from you. Looks like you're living life to the fullest!
Yes, we had one of those picky ones, too. However, she is still picky to this day. And expecting twins. She'll probably get it back in spades! LOL!

None here except when it comes to veggies. Just a bunch of differing allergies to work around. Like your photo!

Dean and I were at my daughter's house to help out just after she had her second baby. I was standing at the kitchen counter using a bread knife. Dean was looking over my shoulder in disbelief, "What are you doing," he said.
"I'm cutting off the crusts to William's sandwich."
"I know, but why? You never did this for our children."
"I'm a grandma," I said.

I suspect we would have had three little food tyrants in the house, but we told them from day one, they always have to have a little bit of everything. It's working! Food that they did not like at all when they first arrived home, they will actually ask for second helpings now. Baby steps! :o)

Blessings!

I hope that you are enjoying the preparations for the Season.
We have attempted to focus on Advent, but we are not succeeding as well as I would like.

How lovely that your family overseas; like many others is also remembering the Reason for the Season and celebrating the birth of the Christ.
