One of my very most favorite things to can or preserve involves the process of pickling. So for the past two days I have made pickles from cucumbers, the bread and butter variety being my personal choice. How satisfying to hear those pings to let you know your jars are sealed.

Oh how lovely.
How do you sterilise your jars?
I sterilize my jars either in the dishwaser minus the use of dishwasher detergent, or I boil them on the stove for about 8 minutes or so.
Beautiful! Those are the jars we drink out of. :)
I haven't listened for pings yet this year, but salsa is coming up soon. Then there will be lots of pings :o)! Preserved harvest is like jewels in a jar. So beautiful to look at and wonderful to eat.
Blessings!
