Kit in the herb garden

Several pairs of flannel pajamas, neatly folded and set aside, were brought to my attention this past weekend. The time had come to get started on something that had nestled back in my brain a couple of months ago awaiting the proper time of delivery. An outfit for Charlotte's American Girl dolls constructed from the plaid flannel of Daddy's pjs was the result. Quilt squares cut from the flannel fabric have also begun with hopes of a completed lap quilt in the future.

The photography shoot took place in the herb garden with Kit standing in my newest woven basket.

The green and blue color scheme was quite successful.

yarn basket show off

Another basket, this one is called the "lots of yarn" basket. I see why; a basket any knitter might like to own. I have already filled it with my knitting projects and set it by a chair in the sun room.

I make baskets simply because I like baskets, after all, they are extremely functional.  Enjoying the actual basket making process is low on the list on crafts I like to do, however. But an evening with ladies to chat and laugh with and then going home with a finished basket makes for a warmly wonderful evening.

In the meantime I will find some sort of use for it because nothing created for such purpose should be resting for too long.

there and back

Earnest Hemingway absolutely stated it rightly by saying, "Never go on any trips with anyone you do not love."  It has been decade...
