It crushed the dried oregano hanging in my pantry so beautifully, before it was tossed into the red beans and rice....
I felt as if I was kissed. The most fascinating part, the little lip on its porcelain edge.

I've always wanted a mortar and pestle, but have never bought one. How nice to find something forgotten and put it to use again.
