It is waiting for later use. This basket will be used when I make my quilt, because it is called the Quilter's Sewing Basket with dowel.
Early morning walk in the swirling snow down to the creek bed. This American Beech tree rightfully observed, glorious in its sober cinnamon...

I'm curious. What is the dowel for? I'm looking forward to seeing your quilt in the future.
Blessings!

Such a pretty basket! I'm not sure what a quilt basket is, but I hope to see it in use. The first thing that came to mind was a gift wrap and ribbon basket. You could put the rolls of ribbon on the dowel and carry tags, tape, and scissors to your wrapping station.
Thank you for your sweet comment on my picture. Christie took this one last Fall in our backyard. That is natural lighting from the sun going down.
Deborah,
The dowel is used for spools of thread and possibly little "snipping" scissors. It can be removed if desired.
Ahhh, That would make sense. How neat!
Blessings!
