Whoopie Pies

It seemed like the most sensible thing to do; nothing should be allowed to besmirch this rainy day.

Whoopie pies from Everyday Food, improvisation being a necessary norm, strawberry jam was folded into the whipped cream.

Rose asked, " Mama, what are you making?"

"Whoopie cushions."

They were then served to the afternoon Girls' Bible Study Group.

...the Whoopie pies that is.

Mmmmm! They sound marvelous! It sounds like we're getting similar weather to you although today, the sunshine did win out in the end.

Blessings!

Ha! Love the "new" name....
The rain must have done the same to us, as we made Sugarpie Farmhouse's cream puffs with vanilla pudding and sliced strawberries.
Your new header is breathtaking....

Thank you, Cathy, for the link to the cheesecake. I'm thinking of making this for Memorial Day.
Rose does a wonderful job on the photos. The first one of the rain is very cool. Well, I like all of them, really!

When my kitchen is back together I WILL make these--they are works of art, and so much fun besides....I know, they are work, too! My daughter made a batch once that were a variation of what I see here. Hers were chocolate cookies, and I don't remember what the filling was...but wouldn't they be great to serve at my first post-remodel tea party? You have effectively whetted the creative and carnal appetites.
