a good feline life

She entered our lives in 1993, a kitten bought from a local pet store in town.

My mother and I whisked into the pet store with anticipation because my mother had determined she was going to buy Alan a kitten. It was a day of  blooming roses. I remember Alan was barefooted when we placed this tabby tri-colored ball of sweetness into his arms, almost twenty years ago.

"What greater gift than the love of a cat."
                                                           ~Charles Dickens~

I have dreaded this day for some time. But even in my sadness I am extremely thankful she was a part of our lives for all these years.
I will miss her so.

Oh, I am so sorry. She was beautiful. I really dread that day, too.

I so feel for you, Penny was a part of the family. I only knew Charlie for three months but I still miss her. They take a little piece of our hearts I guess. Thinking of you.

Those little furry loves sure do move into our hearts and set up housekeeping, don't they? I'm sorry.

I don't think we can begin to imagine that when we choose a kitten it will become a part of our family for 20 years. Never in my wildest imagination. We've had our girl for 14 years and no, I don't look forward to the day we lose her. I'm so sorry..

Blessings, Debbie
