aiming toward a goal...

Dear to whomever reads this blog...

All one must simply do is go to their personal blogger page click on the stats button and see if anyone has read a particular post. I know a few people might read a post I have written from time to time and some of you kind, encouraging souls will even leave a nice comment. And while I do not write on this blog for any other purpose than to make a scrapbook type of journal, it does create a connected feeling to know someone is reading it and following along as big and not so big journeyings are recorded. Then there is the added bonus of the enjoyment of reading your blogs.

I compose so many blog posts in my brain, always have. I write them while in the kitchen preparing dinner or canning tomatoes, while in the garden picking beans or removing June bugs from the plants, while in the car driving on long trips or just short trips to town, and especially on my walks wherever that is depending on the season. But to stop everything, sit down, get comfortable, open my computer and begin sorting through the photos taken (sometimes that is a problem because I do not always take a camera along to take applicable photos) and making a post just does not happen. I even have quite a few drafts where I was motivated to post, began a post and somewhere in the middle of it I was called away.

I do thoroughly enjoy blogging, yet I have allowed myself to stop posting and it seems like the longer I stay away the harder it becomes to get started again. My intentions get swallowed up and I feel as if I am covered under a heap of heavy blankets.  Do you ever feel like that?

I do have several wonderful posts I hope to publish in the coming days. I am aiming for that goal. Journaling my days full of the simple living ventures of life while capturing those big celebrations and events of life too. Plans are to continue with posts that sometimes will include quotes and recipes also. Read as much as you want and leave a comment if you are so inclined. I thank you with all my heart❤️ for being here.

A view of the back garden taken in June with the extension of the flower garden. I promised my husband this would be the very last time. It is a perfect size now which translates as big enough for me to manage. And it will be able to hold the extra flowering shrubs, perennials, and herbs I am still planning to add this fall and next spring.

This is later July. You can see the Limelight Hydrangeas are blooming!

Hello blogging friend, I'm one of those who reads here. I so know and feel what you are sharing here, because I feel the same way many times. It's difficult, there have been discouragements here in blogland for me, even an attack of sorts on another blog that broke my heart, and oh how some have people fooled but I know God is the Revealer and will trust in that for others to see true character.

Your estate there is gorgeous, I love the old chair and the stone pathway! : ) Beautiful! I for one, enjoy your blog and I fully understand the breaks in time too. For me, I'm freezing my activity except for a few comments here and there until the Lord whispers what to do.

God will lead and guide, and don't worry about photos, I'm sure people like me enjoy your writing too. Fall is coming! It's the beginning of August and time to break the pumpkins out! lol

Blessings! ~Amelia My Forest Cathedral blog

Dear Cathy...I'm still here. I read your blog posts via Feedly, so not sure if my viewing shows up as a visit. Btw, your photos are beautiful. :)

My blog is presently closed because I've been doing some thinking myself. I'll probably reopen it shortly..

I have your blog "pinned" on my computer for easy access. I check it almost every day just to see if there is a new post. Obviously, I understand needing breaks and such, but I just wanted to let you know, I love seeing your posts.

Your garden is beautiful.
