And yet all we need is an awareness of the beauty in life to make us richly content.
~Gladys Taber
There is much work to do.
On some Saturdays you might find us working across the street at Good Drop Ridge. Since I went to my High School Reunion last weekend, my husband stayed home and decided he would do a few things that needed tending to, but I was a bit unnerved after his confession ...like being out on the tin roof cleaning the gutters... alone.
My childhood friend and her husband are trying to encourage us to open and provide Good Drop as a airbnb. I am not completely convinced I want to open my little rural countryside cottage to those I don't know, but my husband is more open to possibly doing so in the future. However, I know I would definitely enjoy being a hostess welcoming overnight guests.
This day we carried the table from the sunporch and enjoyed the dappling of sunshine alongside a few appetizers in the pleasing autumnal afternoon.I had a bit of time to review my James 1 scriptures too.
Sometime this week I hope to share with you how I am personally going about Bible memorization. There are countless expressive remarks encountered when someone hears about active Bible Memorization. I want to encourage others to memorize God's Word not in any way discourage it.
Thy Word have hid in mine heart
that I might not sin against Thee.
Psalm 119:11
Blessings!

I would be hesitant to open an airbnb too. However, my childhood home is now a vacation rental and I am so thankful. 🩷
...because I can go visit!
Yes, please come. Friends are welcomed just because...on the house!
You are too kind, you would probably ending up giving away most as a gift rather than taking payment. It is such a neat concept to have the other small house! andrea
My husband had a project going on our tin roof this summer. I have to confess that I am glad the project is complete.
You are ideal for a hostess of an air bnb.
Looking forward to your post on Scripture memorization.
I just came across your blog, and have enjoyed browsing through a few of your posts so far. You have a lovely blog. I look forward to checking back more in the future, Lord willing, and would love to hear your thoughts on Bible memorization. I have to confess this is a weak area in my life, to make purposeful memorization anymore (although I did a good deal when I was younger).
Love visiting you. It’s a joy
I love the little cottage. Maybe, you could open it up to friends for a start. It is wonderful that you have been so faithful with your scripture memory. You are encouraging me to get back into it.
